Does Tiger Woods Owe You an Apology? No!
Ever since the eve of Thanksgiving Day when the celebrity golfer, Tiger Woods, was exposed for cheating on his wife, not just with one partner but a large number of them, many in the news media have continued to push the issue, saying especially that his wife should divorce him. What they wished for did not and, it seems, will not happen. On the contrary, Tiger Woods and Elin, his wife, have taken the high road and made peace with each other for the sake of their children.
After all the fuss died down, Tiger signed himself up at a so-called ‘sex rehab’ center in order to learn how to keep his sexual addiction in check. The media frenzy died down not long after he entered the rehab center, probably because of the terrible disaster that hit Haiti in the form of a 7.0 earthquake on January 12 this year.
His words: “I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone. What many people had been waiting to hear was Tiger Woods in his own words talking about what’s been happening. He finally came out on February 19, appearing before a gathering of close friends and business associates. He read an apology to everyone: his wife, his children, his mother, his friends, his fans, and his business associates. Of course, his apology has fueled the start of another media obsession.
